Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center. The Swenson Center at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois is an archives and research center that focuses on the Swedish immigration to the United States and the development of Swedish-American communities. As one of the benefits, members receive a subscription to the Swedish American Genealogist, a quarterly journal of Swedish American biography, genealogy, and history. The Research Center itself is home to the very significant collection of church and fraternal order lodge records, as well as a number of other significant collections.
Swedish Council of America. The Swedish Council of America “supports and fosters cooperative relationships between all groups and individuals who promote knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the Swedish heritage in American life and strengthens contemporary cultural and educational ties between North America and Sweden.
Swedish American Historical Society. The Swedish American Historical Society, located in Chicago Illinois, is the publisher of the Swedish-American Historical Quarterly. In addition, it has an extensive archives of original manuscripts, located at the Brandel Library, at the North Park University in Chicago.
